What you'll do
On the 3 PM steering call, Northstar agrees to use a fallback release plan if the appointment flow fix misses Thursday. You'll write up the call as a note, then record the agreement as a decision that Northstar signs off.
Steps
-
1
Open Smart Notes and create a note called "Steering call – 3 PM". Write down what was discussed.
-
2
Link the note to Northstar Health Labs, the Patient portal launch project, and the rollback task.
-
3
Optional. Choose Summarize if the notes are long and you want a quick version to share.
-
4
Convert the agreement into a decision. Write "Use the fallback release plan if the appointment flow fix misses Thursday", and add the reasoning and impact.
-
5
Add Northstar's product lead as a sign-off. They can Sign Off or Reject in the client portal.
-
6
If nobody has responded by the next morning, choose Remind on the decision.
Checkpoint
What you should see
- The note keeps the full discussion. The decision holds only the agreed outcome.
- The decision links back to the note, project, and task.
- Once Northstar signs, the decision shows who agreed and when.
FAQ
Do I have to use the client portal for sign-off?
No. Team members can sign off inside the workspace. The portal is how clients sign off without a workspace account.
What if the plan changes again?
Record a new decision and choose Mark Superseded on the old one. Both stay in the history.
