Quick verdict

Choose Plutio if you want one flat-priced suite that covers proposals, contracts, payments, a branded client portal, and project management, with mobile apps. Choose Flopinio if your work starts as scattered client requests and you mainly need those requests, the tracked time, and the invoice evidence connected, with reviewable AI. Plutio covers more of the business; Flopinio goes deeper on the request-to-invoice trail.

4

Where Plutio wins

Plutio is the better choice in these areas:

A flat price: Pro includes 30 contributors for USD 49/month.

A wider feature set on every plan, including proposals, contracts with e-signature, scheduling, forms, and payments.

Native mobile and desktop apps and more than 25 languages.

White-label branding.

5

Where Flopinio fits better

Flopinio is built around one trail: an inbound client request, the tasks it became, the time tracked on them, and the invoice drafted from that time. Inbound sources (Gmail read-only, Slack, Telegram, Jira, Zoho Mail, ProtonMail Bridge) feed a review inbox, AI triage and reviews produce output you apply yourself, decisions can be signed off by the client in an authenticated portal, and an MCP connector (Beta) lets Claude and other AI clients read context and stage writes that wait for review.

Requests from email, chat, and Jira land in one review inbox with their source.

Time is tracked on the task that came from the request.

Invoice drafts are built from completed time entries with a preview.

Clients can sign or reject decisions in the portal.

A free plan to try the loop with one client.

Price examples

For one person: Plutio Core is USD 19/month; Flopinio is free for one client, or Pro at USD 14.99/month for unlimited clients and one member. For three people, Plutio Pro is USD 49/month; Flopinio Team is USD 49.99/month with five members and unlimited clients included. Annual billing lowers Plutio's price. Check both pricing pages before you decide; prices change.

7

Switching notes

Flopinio imports projects and tasks from CSV files with a mapping preview. If you rely on Plutio for proposals, contracts, or payments, plan to keep a tool for those parts, because Flopinio does not provide them.

8

A note from the founder

I built Flopinio because my own client work kept breaking between the message where a client asked for something and the invoice that had to explain it. If you need proposals, contracts, and payments in one place, Plutio is a sensible choice and I would rather you pick the right tool. If your pain is the request-to-invoice trail, try Flopinio on the free plan with one real client.

Google connection availability and data use

Gmail and Google Calendar connections are currently paused for public use while verification and security readiness work is completed. Google Sign-In is separate. When available, Gmail intake is read-only; AI/search processing requires a separate owner opt-in. Captured Google text stays in a separate private source section unless explicitly shared, and is erased with its derived copies on disconnect. See the Google integration guide and Privacy Policy for availability, retention, and deletion details.
