## Overview

Access in Flopinio combines a role, an access profile, optional per-member overrides, and organization access rules. Teams group people and work inside one organization.

## Invite members

Owners and admins invite people by email from Organization admin. Invites require a plan that includes invites and count toward member limits. Pending invites can be resent. New members join as members with the full operator access profile, and you can adjust them after they accept.

## Roles

- Owner: full access, including subscription billing and role changes.
- Admin: full workspace access and organization admin, without subscription billing or role changes.
- Member: access set by their access profile.
- Every organization keeps at least one owner. Admins can remove members but not other admins or owners, and nobody can remove themselves.

## Access profiles

Access profiles set what a member can read or manage.

- Full operator: manages delivery records and runtime work.
- Delivery: manages requests, projects, clients, tasks, notes, decisions, and time, with read access to agent runtime.
- Billing: manages time, invoices, and expenses, with read access to delivery records.
- Observer: read-only access to delivery records and time.
- Client portal: no workspace access; only granted portal projects.
- Per-member overrides adjust a single resource family, such as invoices or expenses, without changing the profile.

## Example: Setting up a small agency

- Your co-founder is an **Admin**, so they can run the workspace but not change the subscription.
- Your project manager is a **Member** with the **Delivery** profile, so they manage requests, tasks, and time but not invoices.
- Your bookkeeper is a **Member** with the **Billing** profile, so they manage invoices and expenses and can read delivery records.
- Northstar's product lead uses the **Client portal** profile and only sees the launch project you shared.

## Access rules

Owners and admins can add organization access rules on the Access policies page. A rule targets a resource family at read or manage level and can allow, grant, or deny access, and can be enabled or archived.

## Teams

Owners and admins create and edit teams from Organization admin. Projects, requests, and tasks can belong to a team, and members switch their current team from the workspace switcher. Members only see teams they belong to; owners and admins see all teams.

## FAQ

### Can I transfer ownership?

Not from the workspace. Making a member an owner is restricted, so contact support if ownership needs to move.

### Do client portal users count as members?

No. Portal clients do not count toward member limits unless they are moved to an operator access profile.
