## Overview

Subscription billing is how you pay for Flopinio itself. It is separate from the invoices you send your clients.

## Billing overview

The billing page shows your current plan and subscription, plan limits, execution credits, and which features the plan includes.

## Upgrade or subscribe

1. Open Billing in settings, choose monthly or annual billing, and select an available Free, Pro, or Team plan.
2. Complete payment in Paddle checkout.
3. Return to Flopinio. Billing confirms the payment with Paddle and updates your subscription; this can take a moment while Paddle finalizes it.

## Manage your subscription

Use Billing to preview and confirm plan, billing interval, and seat changes on your existing subscription. Paddle shows proration and the new renewal total before you confirm. Use Manage subscription for payment methods, receipts, and cancellation in the Paddle customer portal.

## Members and extra seats

Team includes five members. Additional seats cost $8/member/month or $80/member/year. Client portal guests do not use seats, and extra seats do not add AI credits. Pending invitations reserve capacity. Removing a member leaves a reusable paid seat; explicitly reduce unused seats in Billing to lower capacity and apply the prorated credit at renewal.

## Credits and your own AI key

Free includes 20 hosted AI credits/month, Pro 500, and Team 2,000. Included credits reset monthly without rollover, even with annual billing. An approximate short-run count is an illustration based on the current rate card and representative input/output size; actual usage varies.

Hosted AI pauses when credits run out. When offered in Billing, a manual 500-credit pack costs $5. Purchased credits never expire, survive plan changes, and are used after included credits. There is no automatic recharge. A pack is granted after verified payment, which may take a moment.

All plans include MCP and OpenAI or Anthropic BYOK. An organization owner or administrator can validate, rotate, or remove a key in [AI settings](https://flopinio.com/settings/ai), then explicitly select the funding source. Your provider bills your key directly, with no hosted generation credits used. Invalid or removed keys fail visibly; Flopinio does not switch to hosted credits automatically. Search indexing stays platform-funded through Flopinio's configured embedding provider.

## Founding offer

When available, the first 20 founding organizations receive 50% off recurring Pro/Team plans and additional seats while continuously subscribed, including annual billing. Switching Pro/Team or monthly/annual preserves the discount. Effective cancellation ends it. Credit packs are excluded. The checkout total includes applicable tax.

## FAQ

### Can an admin manage billing?

No. Only organization owners can open checkout or the customer portal.
