## A helper that knows your workspace

The assistant answers questions using your workspace records, summarizes context, and drafts records for you. It works alongside the normal pages rather than replacing them. Anything it drafts waits for you to review and apply.

## What you can ask it to do

- Answer questions: "Which Northstar tasks are overdue?" or "What did we agree about rollback?"
- Summarize: Pull together notes and linked records into a short overview.
- Draft records: Draft a task, request, or note for you to review and apply.
- Keep a thread going: Continue a conversation when the follow-up depends on what came before.

## Example: Drafting follow-up tasks from a question

You ask "What's still open on the Northstar launch before Thursday?" The assistant lists four open tasks and notes that nobody owns DNS rollback. You ask it to draft a task for that. It drafts "Assign DNS rollback owner" linked to the launch project. You change the due date and apply it.

## Getting better answers

- Name the client, project, or record. "Northstar launch" is better than "the launch".
- Give a time window, such as "this week" or "since 1 July".
- Ask for one thing at a time when you want a draft.
- For broad questions, expect a short answer plus a list of the records it used. Open them to check.

## Note: Drafts wait for you

Applying a draft uses the same actions and permissions as doing it yourself. If AI access, the needed skill, or funding for the selected generation source is unavailable, the assistant tells you instead of pretending it worked. Every run is listed in [Agent activity](https://flopinio.com/help/agent-activity).

## FAQ

### Can the assistant see everything in the workspace?

It works within your access. It can't show you records your role doesn't allow you to see.

### Does the assistant change records on its own?

No. It drafts, and you apply. Applying uses normal product actions.
